What’s currently missing (blog system)

Generally I like the development. There are a few minor issues, but it might be I’m just overlooking alternative solutions. Please do tell!

  • No markdown code available. There seems to be the possibility of creating blogposts with markdown on WordPress, but the option to activate it doesn’t exist in settings.
  • No easy way to access the Reader view (general blog overview). Currently I access it by clicking my avatar on top right, clicking ‘My Blog’, then pressing the Vivaldi button to access the dashboard, which finally allows me to load the Reader to view recent community posts…. phew
  • No easy access to blogs. If I want to read an article, I have to click on ‘read more’, then a popup appears and I still have to click yet again to view (and go to) the original/real site. This is convoluted. I want to visit Blogs directly without all the hassle.
  • No ability to filter the general reader view according to languages. This problem was also present on the original Vivaldi user blogs,
and I believe the system and its users would greatly benefit from the inclusion of such a (basic?) filtering option.
  • Minor inconsistencies in the theming. On the personal sites the hover color of the header items is blue, whereas on general sites it is red. The hover background behind the Vivaldi button isn’t centred correctly — but I think they are just working on it as I’m typing — some other stuff regarding this seems to be fixed. It can only be a matter of time.

I think this is all for the moment, will add to this as I see fit. Anyway, thank you Vivaldi Team for providing us with such an awesome blogging platform!
